Stephanie and Ian had a fantastic fall wedding at Barnsley Gardens. They had planned each and every detail and The Historic Ruins at Barnsley Gardens was the perfect venue. We had the privilege of working with Stephanie at a previous wedding we had photographed in which Stephanie was a bridesmaid. We love working with clients who have become our friends. We wish them both the best of luck.

Fairytale Wedding in the Big Easy-Heather and Taylor

Remeber Heather and Taylor?? It took us a while to get this story put together and share it with you all. Heather and Taylor are a very dear couple to us, having known Heather since she was a young girl. It has been fantastic watching her grow into a lovely lady and now a beautiful bride. Heather had wanted us to shoot her wedding since the very begining the planning process and we waited almost a year and a half for this day to come around. We had a great time shooting their engagements in downtown New Orleans and that left us itching bad to get back for their wedding. We brought Damian along to shoot with us, and it quickly evolved from shooting a wedding to a full blown roadtrip, weekend getaway! The locations for all stages of the weekend were incredible. We started at the St.James hotel where the bridal party was, moved on to the historic Hotel Monteleone where the guys were getting ready and then finished the day at the wedding venue Southern Oaks Plantation. The historic plantation venue is just breathtaking and it is great to see that they made a full recovery from hurricane Katrina, and are now considered one of the premiere wedding venues in New Orleans. Heather and Taylor incorporated a few historic traditions in their ceremony and reception like the cake pulls, and finishing the night of with the second line dance around the venue. It was a beautiful day and one that we feel priviledged to have been part of. Congrats Heather and Taylor!!

Dance the night away with Lia and Reggie

Soooo thrilled to share this one, meet Reggie and Lia!! Reggie is a firefighter and Lia works a public service position so we new working with two very giving people was going to be great. Their service was at a church in Reggie’s hometown and the reception at the Rome Civic Center, in Rome GA. We still cannot get over how much the entire family enjoyed the day. One of the highlights of the first half of the day for us was sneaking Reggie and his groomsmen off for some shots in the basketball court just minutes before the ceremony..We felt like little kids running the opposite direction from the wedding planner. We can’t get in trouble with the wedding planner!! The guys had a great time, and it was definitely worth it! The ceremony was full of sweet moments, followed by a huge group photo of the bridal party and the majority of the entire family present. We knew we were in trouble at the reception when we caught ourselves dancing more than shooting! Sorry folks but they have definitely raised the bar as far as a good time at the reception!! Reggie and Lia, thanks for making us part of the family that day…We know you guys will be part of our family for a longtime!

Organic Country Chic-Ashley and Jordan

We had the opportunity to shoot this wedding with Damian Ahching, who from time to time you will see on this site. He’s our side kick for a few weddings and shooting for him is always a pleasure. Ashley and Jordan had a country chic fall wedding and we loved the fact that this enormous home and piece of property was turned into a wedding venue for the day. They put a lot of thought into the colors and details of the day and it came together just beautifully. The two have a wonderful life ahead!

Meet Stephanie and Ian!! Stephanie was actually a bridesmaid in a wedding we shot a few years ago. It was great when she asked us to shoot her wedding! Here’s a quick video of their engagement session. The two were looking for something simple and relaxed, and we lucked out with some great weather that day. Their wedding will be at Barnsley Gardens Resort and we can’t wait to share photos from that day!!

Bryan and Gretchen-The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia

Remember Bryan and Gretchen?? Well after all the fun we had during their engagement shoot, we could not wait for the wedding to arrive. Gretchen made an amazing bride and had a wonderful group of girls around her all day. Bryan reminds us so much of a true southern gentleman. The Day Chapel at The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia, located in Athens, was constructed of beautiful, ornate cedar and provided a really great backdrop to their ceremony. We had an unimaginable amount of fun at the reception and slipped the newlyweds off when it was all over for a few more shots. Bryan and Gretchen have a great life ahead of them and we can’t wait to shoot with them again, as they grow in life!

We just looooove the Newton family! We have done several family shoots for the Newtons, but this time we did a shoot with just the kids. We had SO much fun running around town. The kids brought their A-game to the shoot and came up with all kinds of crazy poses and ideas. We love when the kids become the creative directors of the shoot. Enjoy!

Megan and Jonathan -Indian Hills Country Club

This wedding was so special to us; it could not have come soon enough! Megan is the oldest of three girls. We have had the privilege of doing senior portraits for all three of the girls, and it was a huge honor to shoot Megan’s wedding at The Indian Hills Country Club when the time arrived! It started off as a drizzly rainy day, but quickly turned into a happy day filled with sunshine. It was great being with Megan and her sisters all at the same time, and their mother, Sandi who we are just crazy about!! The color blue Megan had picked throughout the details out was stunning. We could not help but bust a move at the reception, and the night finished out with a goodbye kiss from her father in the limo, too sweet for words!! Congrats Megan and Jonathan!!

We had the privilege of photographing their engagement photographs prior to the wedding and how excited we were to have found a second-line parade to join.
