Reggie and Lia are awesome!! Not much else to say about that. We had the privilege of shooting their wedding and we were contacted the next week by these guys wanting to know if we would come photograph them doing some casual photos….that was a great big yes. We love it when our clients become our friends. We love you Reggie and Lia.

Rebecca and Kelly’s engagement session

Rebecca and Kelly were wanting an engagement session involving their love for riding motorcycles. Kelly brought out his smoking hot Harley Davidson and the storm clouds rolling in made for a dramatic sky and a sexy photo shoot. Rebecca was just beautiful. We look forward to working with these guys again.

Daniel And Kagan Justice

We had the honor of photographing Daniel and Kagan’s wedding in Mobile, Alabama. Kagan was a beautiful bride and her location for getting dressed was the historical Battle House Hotel. Daniel was anxiously awaiting at their lovely wedding venue The Courtyard Manor On Dauphin Street. The day was beautiful and was celebrated in true military style since Daniel is a member of the United States Coast Guard. He and Kagan will always be special to us at Colors Of Life Photography.

Brooke and Eric

Wedding season is in full swing and we have some blogging to catch up on. We did a couples shoot recently for Brooke and Eric to celebrate Brooke’s new smokin’ figure. They both look fabulous and it is so much fun to shoot with folks just because they want nice photos of themselves. They were naturals in front of the camera, and we had a great time working with the two of them. Rumor has it we have another shoot with them in the Summer. Can’t wait to share that one too!

Colors of Life is Moving!!

We have a new home and could not be more excited!! After a year of having studio space and being part of an Artist Co-op at Matilda’s Cottage, we realized that we did not need a studio, but more of an office/meeting environment. Rich Leggitt, Owner of Black Tie Events gave us an offer for an office in his Suite in the Peachtree Corners/Norcross area. We are thrilled to be around all of the great people over at Black Tie Events, winning Best of the Knot year after year, they are and have been one of Atlanta’s premier DJ companies for weddings if you girls need a DJ! We will be moving in this week and next and look forward to meeting most of our clients there. We will have personal viewing sessions, a product bar to get your hands on some fabulous new products that are out there, and a great space to sit and talk about the details of your big day. We will be posting pictures of our space as we grow, can’t wait to see you there!!

And a big thanks to Mary Jane over at Matilda’s. We will miss you guys but looking forward to some great music there this spring and summer!!

Stephanie and Ian -Barnsley Gardens Resort

Stephanie and Ian had a fantastic fall wedding at Barnsley Gardens. They had planned each and every detail and The Historic Ruins at Barnsley Gardens was the perfect venue. We had the privilege of working with Stephanie at a previous wedding we had photographed in which Stephanie was a bridesmaid. We love working with clients who have become our friends. We wish them both the best of luck.

Fairytale Wedding in the Big Easy-Heather and Taylor

Remeber Heather and Taylor?? It took us a while to get this story put together and share it with you all. Heather and Taylor are a very dear couple to us, having known Heather since she was a young girl. It has been fantastic watching her grow into a lovely lady and now a beautiful bride. Heather had wanted us to shoot her wedding since the very begining the planning process and we waited almost a year and a half for this day to come around. We had a great time shooting their engagements in downtown New Orleans and that left us itching bad to get back for their wedding. We brought Damian along to shoot with us, and it quickly evolved from shooting a wedding to a full blown roadtrip, weekend getaway! The locations for all stages of the weekend were incredible. We started at the St.James hotel where the bridal party was, moved on to the historic Hotel Monteleone where the guys were getting ready and then finished the day at the wedding venue Southern Oaks Plantation. The historic plantation venue is just breathtaking and it is great to see that they made a full recovery from hurricane Katrina, and are now considered one of the premiere wedding venues in New Orleans. Heather and Taylor incorporated a few historic traditions in their ceremony and reception like the cake pulls, and finishing the night of with the second line dance around the venue. It was a beautiful day and one that we feel priviledged to have been part of. Congrats Heather and Taylor!!

Soooo thrilled to share this one, meet Reggie and Lia!! Reggie is a firefighter and Lia works a public service position so we new working with two very giving people was going to be great. Their service was at a church in Reggie’s hometown and the reception at the Rome Civic Center, in Rome GA. We still cannot get over how much the entire family enjoyed the day. One of the highlights of the first half of the day for us was sneaking Reggie and his groomsmen off for some shots in the basketball court just minutes before the ceremony..We felt like little kids running the opposite direction from the wedding planner. We can’t get in trouble with the wedding planner!! The guys had a great time, and it was definitely worth it! The ceremony was full of sweet moments, followed by a huge group photo of the bridal party and the majority of the entire family present. We knew we were in trouble at the reception when we caught ourselves dancing more than shooting! Sorry folks but they have definitely raised the bar as far as a good time at the reception!! Reggie and Lia, thanks for making us part of the family that day…We know you guys will be part of our family for a longtime!

Organic Country Chic-Ashley and Jordan

We had the opportunity to shoot this wedding with Damian Ahching, who from time to time you will see on this site. He’s our side kick for a few weddings and shooting for him is always a pleasure. Ashley and Jordan had a country chic fall wedding and we loved the fact that this enormous home and piece of property was turned into a wedding venue for the day. They put a lot of thought into the colors and details of the day and it came together just beautifully. The two have a wonderful life ahead!

Meet Stephanie and Ian!! Stephanie was actually a bridesmaid in a wedding we shot a few years ago. It was great when she asked us to shoot her wedding! Here’s a quick video of their engagement session. The two were looking for something simple and relaxed, and we lucked out with some great weather that day. Their wedding will be at Barnsley Gardens Resort and we can’t wait to share photos from that day!!
